World’s Best Combination of Whiskey and Dancing!
I know this has nothing to do with a location or distillery, but I saw the most impressive combination of whiskey and dancing I have ever seen in my life. No, it was not last Saturday at the bar; it was Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron singing “The Other Side” in the movie The Greatest Showman.
SPOILER ALERT: At the beginning of the scene they are having a drink while Hugh Jackman, aka P.T. Barnum, is trying to convince Zac Efron, aka Phillip Carlyle, to join the circus. I have never seen a catchier business deal conducted with more attractive business men. While they are singing, the men are dancing around the bar attempting to one up each other (in the way men will). The entire time, each man is constant within reach of a shot of whiskey. My hat goes off to the bartender in the scene, not only for his creative tosses and ability to keep tidying up during the entire routine, but for being able to keep up with these fine dancing gentlemen while they are immersed in catching bottles and pouring shots, and drinking during the entire number but for adding that perfect extra touch.
In the end, a combination of whiskey and musical charm officially brought us the Greatest Show on Earth, sealing the deal with several shots. I not only fell in love with the movie, but the song too. Take their lead and have a whiskey. I’m late for yoga. Cheers!
